The Salvation Army of Palm Beach County Introduces the Young Allies

New philanthropic society has already raised nearly $200,000 for homeless veterans ahead of 3rd annual Red Shield Benefit hosted at Drive Shack on September 23

(September 14, 2026) — The Salvation Army of Palm Beach County has officially announced the Young Allies, a philanthropic society of young professionals working in support of the Salvation Army’s efforts to aid those in need across Palm Beach County. This work includes veteran support, youth programs, food distribution, disaster services, and homelessness prevention. The group aims to increase awareness around their cause while expanding local youth involvement in forming the next generation of philanthropic leaders across Palm Beach County.

The group was formally launched during a special reception at Salute Ristorante in Palm Beach, where founding members gathered with Salvation Army leadership and longtime supporters to mark the occasion and set the stage for the year ahead. Of note, the Young Allies have raised close to $200,000 in support of programs serving homeless veterans in Palm Beach County to date.

The group was formed on a simple premise: that the next generation of Palm Beach philanthropy is ready to lead now, not later. Members lend their time, their talent and their networks to the work by hosting events, recruiting peers, and raising awareness around the vital work of the Salvation Army.

The Third Annual Red Shield at Drive Shack
The group's signature event of the season, the Third Annual Red Shield at Drive Shack, will be held Tuesday, September 23, at Drive Shack in West Palm Bech, Florida. Now in its third year, the evening has become a fixture on the calendar for the county's younger philanthropic set. The unhurried, convivial night of golf, cocktails and dinner serves a cause that admits no delay. Proceeds benefit The Salvation Army's housing, case management and employment programs for veterans.
