Whitehall Man Arrested as Fugitive of Justice
According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff's Office arrested Jabe J. Rockwell, 29, of Whitehall, New York on a Fugitive of Justice charge following a joint investigation with the United States Marshals Service.
The investigation determined that Rockwell was a wanted person out of Citrus County, Florida, where he faces felony charges of Aggravated Abuse of a Disabled Person and Battery. Rockwell was located in the Village of Whitehall, where he had been staying, and was taken into custody by the Washington County Sheriff's Office with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service and the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, Florida.
Rockwell was arraigned in the Village of Whitehall Court and is currently being held at the Washington County Jail without bail, pending extradition to the State of Florida.
