LIBERTY COUNTY, FLORIDA

Liberty County plans to apply to Florida Commerce for a FFY 2025 Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) in the Neighborhood Revitalization category for grant funding in the amount of $1,200,000. The activities, dollar amounts and estimated percentage benefit to low-and-moderate income persons are as follows:

Liberty County is seeking CDBG funding to support improvements to the Bristol Boat Ramp, including widening and extending the current ramp and installing a sheet pile wall to prevent erosion.

Liberty County does not expect that anyone will be displaced because of CDBG-funded activities. If any persons are displaced because of the planned activities, the County will assist them as described in the County’s anti-displacement and relocation policy, which is available for review at Liberty County Courthouse at 10818 NW, SR-20, Bristol, FL.

A public hearing to provide citizens an opportunity to comment on the application will be conducted in a handicapped accessible location in the courtroom of the Liberty County Courthouse at 10818 NW, SR-20, Bristol, FL on April 28, 2026, at 5:00 pm. A draft copy of the application will also be available for review during normal business hours at the Liberty County Courthouse at 10818 NW, SR-20, Bristol, FL.

A Fair Housing Workshop will be held on April 28, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. in the courtroom of the Liberty County Courthouse at 10818 NW, SR-20, Bristol, FL.

Persons wanting to submit written comments on the application should send them to Kaly Barfield, Grants and Special Projects Coordinator, at (850) 643-2215 or [email protected] or by mail to the Liberty County Courthouse at 10818 NW, SR-20, Bristol, FL no later than May 4, 2026. The application will be submitted to Florida Commerce on or before May 5, 2026.
